Au Gratin Broiled Lobster Tails

Rate this Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

4 oz. lobster tails, each
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons dry white wine
1 tablespoon minced parsley
2 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to broil.
  2. Cut a line down the center of the hard shell of the lobster tail.
  3. Carefully lift the lobster meat out, leaving the meat attached at the small end of the tail. Place lobster meat on top of the shell.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, combine parmesan, bread crumbs, paprika and parsley. Once mixed, stir in melted butter, mix well. Set aside.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine garlic, wine and lemon juice. Stir together well. Brush lobster meat with half of the wine mixture.
  6. Arrange lobster on a baking sheet. Place baking sheet in oven 5-inches away from heat source and broil for 3 minutes. Quickly brush the remaining wine mixture over lobster meat. Broil for an additional 4 minutes (lobster meat should turn opaque).
  7. Remove lobsters from oven, sprinkle bread crumb mixture over the tops. Place back in oven and cook for 30-45 seconds (tops should be golden brown).
