Miso Marinated Cod

Serves 2


Ingredients:

1/3 cup sake
1/3 cup mirin (sweet Japanese rice wine)
1/3 cup light yellow miso (fermented soybean paste)
3 tablespoons (packed) brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
4 – 8 ounce Black Cod fillets
2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Directions:

  1. Mix first 5 ingredients in shallow glass baking dish.
  2. Add fish and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours then flip fillets for 2 more hours.
  3. Preheat Oven.
  4. 375 degrees Remove fish from marinade.
  5. Place fish on rimmed baking sheet. Bake fish until just opaque in center, about 15-18 minutes. Transfer to plates.
  6. Sprinkle with green onions and serve.
